This one-minute film serves as an anthem for She Is Beautiful, showcasing the diverse journeys of women preparing for and participating in the race. The film underscores the transformative impact of movement and community, highlighting the significance of prioritizing oneself in the face of life's demands.
STORY
The commercial opens with the sun rising over the race venue, casting a warm, golden glow on the starting line. As participants gather, a voiceover begins, saying, "Today is more than a race. It's a declaration of power."
The camera captures candid moments of participants pinning on their race bibs, tying shoelaces, and sharing excited smiles. Quick cuts showcase diverse women of different ages, backgrounds, and fitness levels coming together for the She Is Beautiful race.
As the race begins, the camera follows closely alongside the runners, capturing their determination and the sense of camaraderie among them. The voiceover continues, emphasizing the importance of putting oneself first and embracing the challenge ahead.
Intercut with race footage, we capture shots of women crossing the finish line, their expressions a mix of exhaustion and triumph. The voiceover underscores the theme of movement leading to momentum in all aspects of life.
As the sun sets on race day, the atmosphere changes. The camera captures cinematic shots of the sunset, bathing the venue in a warm and ethereal light. The voiceover reflects on the day's achievements and the power of the collective effort.
APPROACH
Our approach entails casting 3-5 diverse women through an Instagram application process, whose stories will shape the narrative. We'll extract their experiences through interview-style conversations to create an authentic voiceover, aligning with She Is Beautiful's theme of empowerment through movement and capturing this race as declaration of power. Filming on race day will capture their stories unfolding within the event, and ideally we can shoot one night before the race to capture cinematic b-roll and interviews.
