THE COMMUTE
THE COMMUTE
COMMERCIAL - 45 Sec SPOT
BY JORDYN ROMERO
OVERVIEW
The goal is to promote Hammerhead as the ultimate tool for enhancing a commuter's daily ride. The commercial will feature Nicole Campbell, a dedicated commuter who travels 40 miles one way from Ventura to Goleta, one of the most scenic stretches of the California Coastline.
MANIFESTO
"My commute it hard. I drive 80 miles a day. Occasionally, I carpool. I have taken the bus before, and some days, I ride my bike to work. All 80 miles.
I don't like spending all my precious time in a car, but the experiences I have gained being a commuter for 5 years, I would never want to trade.
I've got time so much time. Time to think, time to ride my bike, time to zone out, time to swing by the beach for a walk, time to learn. I've even made friends because of this commute. What's a better way to beat traffic than to hang out with others?
So thanks, commute. Also, no thanks."
VISUAL TONE AND STYLE
This stretch of California Coast of Niki's commute does the heavy lifting to create endless diverse and engaging locations. To begin the ride, we will start in the dark at Niki's house as she mounts the bike and pedals off towards the Coast. We will shoot along the PCH beach pathway as Niki flies past traffic hour, using drone to capture the backup of the 101. Then, we will join her on a strenuous climb up Gibraltor Road that awards a breathtaking view. We'll grab a morning coffee before rolling into the office, clocking 80 miles on the Hammerhead by the time she gets home at night.
